Mike Michalowicz was dubbed the “top candidate for Patron Saint of Entrepreneurs” by Simon Sinek. He helps small business owners make their businesses more profitable while growing faster through organic marketing, be more effective through systems and create better teams through leadership. Mike is an American business author, children’s author, entrepreneur, and speaker. He is the author of eight business books published by Penguin Random House, including All In which was released in January of 2024, and two Wall Street Journal Best Sellers. Mike’s book, Profit First has sold over a million copies and continues to reach bestselling lists – because being profitable never goes out of style. His books have been translated into 27 languages. He is also the former host of the “Business Rescue” segment for MSNBC’s Your Business, was previously the small business columnist for The Wall Street Journal and hosted the reality television program called Bailout!.

Mike learns through doing. He founded Olmec Systems in 1996 and sold the business in a private equity transaction in 2003. In 2003 he co-founded a computer forensic firm, which was a lead examiner in the Enron scandal. That company was acquired by Robert Half International in 2006. The transaction was valued at $270.million. Mike Michalowicz currently owns seven companies, including a small business investment accelerator called Prosper Group. Michalowicz is co-founder of six additional organizations with exclusive licensing rights to his work.

We’ll dive into this challenge, provide a formula for diagnosing the problem, and steps attorneys can take to solve it.

Valerie is the Chief Executive Officer of Atticus, LLC. Prior to joining Atticus, Valerie served as the Chief Executive Officer of ElderCounsel, LLC.

Valerie graduated from Washburn Law School in 1997. After law school, Valerie practiced law in Manhattan, KS, and later Miami and Ft. Lauderdale where she was the owner of Peterson Law Office, P.A., and later Fisher & Peterson, P.C., a firm specializing in the areas of elder law and estate planning. Valerie sold her practice to join ElderCounsel in 2008.

Valerie speaks nationally on topics ranging from elder law and Veterans benefits to practice building and business management.  Valerie has taught for numerous national organizations, including the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), various state bar associations, WealthCounsel, Krause Financial Services and Strafford Webinars.

Valerie also teaches for a prominent law school. Since 2012, Valerie has served as an adjunct professor for Stetson Law School where she teaches the Veteran’s Benefits Course to Elder Law LL.M. students.

Valerie resides in Evergreen, Colorado with her husband, Jonathan Mintz, and two cats, Maisey and Ben. Both she and her husband love the outdoors and are avid cyclists. Valerie also has a personal blog that is focused on nutrition and cycling: http://www.ketoadaptedcyclist.com/.

Glenn Finch

Glenn will explore this and share practical strategies for application in your everyday life.

For almost twenty years Glenn has worked with Atticus in matching clients with coaching programs that help them take better care of their clients, increase their incomes, decrease their stress, and achieve an overall balance in their life. As a Certified Practice Advisor, he has specialized in assisting small and medium sized firms to break those invisible barriers, which so often prevent them from reaching the next level. Glenn is adept at getting professionals to step back and envision new possibilities and creating practical strategies to make them reality. Through the formation of new habits, practice management systems and disciplines in client development, Glenn has assisted firms across the nation to double their revenues and obtain a more balanced life as a result.

Glenn is a Colonel in the Florida Army National Guard where he assists officers in organizational strategies, systems improvement, personal life management and career development.  He has been highly decorated for his leadership and personnel management after multiple active duty deployments both stateside and overseas.   He has written, developed and taught various curricula for organizational change and continues to do writing in the area of innovative leadership and team development. Prior to working with Atticus, Glenn spent 12 years as Senior Pastor for three multi-staffed churches in metropolitan areas in Florida.  In addition, he achieved the rank of San Dan and is an accomplished traditional Martial Arts Instructor providing a foundation for personal discipline and balance in life.

Glenn graduated Summa Cum Laude from Asbury University near Lexington, Kentucky with a degree in Psychology and Sociology. Following college Glenn received his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and is certified in several personality assessment tools and organizational assessments for staff training and development.  Glenn also earned a Master of Strategic Studies as a distinguished graduate of the United States Army War College. He is a frequent advisor to government agencies in both leadership capacity and staff development.

Lori Pulvermacher is a Practice Advisor for Atticus, Inc., an organization dedicated to serving the legal profession by advancing business skills and optimizing law firm management. Through a mix of consulting, training, and advising, she supports attorneys who are brilliant practitioners in their pursuit of being great business professionals.

Lori has a well-rounded perspective and brings a unique mix of management, operations, marketing, sales, and client delivery experience and practical business development knowledge. Before Atticus, Lori worked at several notable organizations. At Lift Consulting she was a sales trainer and business consultant. She was the Director of Business Solutions at Law as A Business (LAB) where she pioneered the launch of this new division for ElderCounsel, LLC. She has held various roles at both ElderCounsel and WealthCounsel and has worked with attorneys for the past 20+ years.

Lori received her MBA from Edgewood College, Madison, Wisconsin, and holds undergraduate degrees in business, marketing, and management.

Lori is an active volunteer, a board member for multiple organizations, and a youth sports coach. She and her husband reside in Wisconsin with their two daughters on an organic, grass-fed beef hobby farm. When not supporting law firms, or running to her kids’ activities, you can find Lori gardening, boating, waterskiing, or playing softball.

Inside each of these topics you’ll think through where you’ve made progress over the last year, where you’re stuck and generate ideas for an action plan to put into place now.
